A mom and her son were hit by a car on the West Side of Charleston Monday afternoon.
According to witnesses and the driver, the car was traveling on Patrick Street near 6th Avenue. swerved to miss a wan that was stopped in the road, slid and crashed into wooden landscaping timbers.
A woman and her son were hit. They were standing on 6th Avenue. They were taken to the hospital. Charleston police are investigating.
