The Putnam County Sheriff's Department has joined other West Virginians in keeping an eye on those that need it most.
Project Lifesaver is a program that allows the sheriff's department to track people with a special bracelet. If families are worried about loved ones that have mind altering diseases, they can put the bracelet on them and have them tracked in case they wander off.
Putnam County Sheriff Mark Smith says this program is great because it doesn't just work in state.
Putnam County is going through a selection process right now to see who needs the bracelets most.
If you're interested call the sheriff's office at 304-586-0256.
