They're finally here. Table games have arrived at Tristate Racetrack and Gaming Center and along with them some new dealers.
"Oh, I'm definitely nervous," says new dealer James McWhorter.
Monday night's charity games are giving this newcomer and others their first chance at trying their hands at dealing.
James says, "I think it's gonna be really good. Just gonna be really busy. Just tryin' to make sure I don't mess up anything."
John Benna won't deal until Tuesday... So on this night, he took the opportunity to look over the shoulder and learn.
John says it's "An advanced look so we're not quite as nervous. It's exciting and it's new to all of us."
Although, some dealers have the first night jitters others are more than ready to get the show on the road.
Michigan native Sarah Davis says she's looking forward to the challenge of opening night. "Actually I've worked in a casino before dealing poker so I don't have that stress or the first time jitters."
Players say they're definitely ready to see what poker has to offer.
Betty Mitchell from St. Albans says, "I'm glad they're here and I'm eager to play."
