Pretty soon gamblers at Mardi-Gras Casino in Nitro, West Virginia, will have a place to rest in between playing the slots, or the new table games set to open soon.

The plan for a new $4 million hotel are ready and waiting to be constructed.

The new 87 unit hotel is expected to bring economic growth to the area.

Kanawha County Commission President Kent Carper says, " It's great for businesses. There are folks coming here that wouldn't be here otherwise. They'll be staying here, they'll be buying gasoline, buying clothes, they'll be spending money here. It's good for Kanawha County."

Construction on the new hotel is expected to begin within six months.
