Charleston detectives charged 40-year-old Paul Parrish of Charleston, West Virginia, with first degree robbery.
The clerk says the robber passed a note demanding cash and claiming he had a remote control bomb. The clerk refused to give him the money. Police acted on a tip to catch Parrish. Court documents allege he confessed after he was shown the surveillance video.
