Veterans from every major american military conflict since World War I took part in the annual Armed Forces Day parade in South Charleston. Hundreds of supporters greeted those veterans with plenty of applause and "thank you's" for service and sacrifice for our country.

Soldiers spanning over 90 years of history all traveled down the same street together. The only living american World War I veteran, Frank Buckles, joined baby-faced young men who fought in Iraq or Afghanistan.

This year's parade grand marshals were Senator Jay Rockafeller, Frank Buckles, and Major General Allen Tackett.
