BEHIND THE KITCHEN DOOR
The weekend should be a nice one and that means I'll see a lot of you out and about grabbing something to eat. We have a full report in this week's behind the kitchen door, so let's get to it.
RECENT KITCHEN DOORS OPENEDFamous Daves over in South Ridge tops our list Inspectors found 6 violations including 3 critical. Inspectors said the guy running a dishwasher wasn't washing his hands after handling dirty dishes then taking clean dishes out of the dishwasher. The baked potatoes weren't being held in heated bins before they were served. There was a large container of food left uncovered in the cooler and there wasn't any cold water at the vegetable prep hand sink Next up, we go down the Corridor to the Bob Evans at 4001 MaCCorkle Avenue. Inspectors found 8 violations, including one critical. Again, the dishwasher didn't wash his hands between touching dirty and clean dishes. There was actually too much sanitizer on the wiping cloth, the line cooler, hot holding cabinet and handles on a cooler were dirty-so was the mixer. We have plenty of places that got great reports. The Outback Steakhouse at the mall, Sitar of India in Charleston, Suzi's in South Charleston the Fifth Quarter and Cilantro's all received good reports. Aladdin's in Kanawha City brought home a perfect score, great job, guys. That's it for this week, don't forget, you can get your first look at Behind the Kitchen Door Thursdays on Good Morning West Virginia. |
