We begin this week's Behind the Kitchen Door over in St. Albans. Inspectors had a field day at the New Dragon Garden at 1453 MacCorkle Avenue, they found a total of 23 violations, three critical. Inspectors made them throw away crab being served at unsafe temperatures and there were roaches in the potato box.

There was no soap or hand towels in the employee restroom. The mop sink, the floor under the prep table, the floor in the walk in freezer the can opener were all dirty. There was plenty more to clean up, too. Inspectors also found a badly dented can stored improperly.

Next we head to the China Super Buffet at 303 Crossing Mall in Elkview. Inspectors found 9 violations, including 2 critical. The dishwasher wasn't cleaning dishes and some serving utensils were dirty. Actually, there were a lot of things dirty-the can opener, a refridgerator, the Pepsi cooler and Hood unit all needed to be cleaned. Inspectors also said they need to get some kind of scoop in the soy sauce bin and to quit storing food in cardboard boxes.

Finally, we go over to the ball park and the Power Alley Grill in Charleston. Inspectors found 8 violations-2 critical. The slicer blade was dirty, so was the wiping cloth bucket water, the can opener and several other things. They also had the clean silverware stored eating end up-that's the opposite of how it's supposed to be stored.

Remember last week...we didn't have a single good report to tell you about. We do this week. The Harding's Family Restaurant on Penn. Ave in Charleston, and La Carreta in Elkview both had good inspections and get our thumbs up. That's a look at this week's report. Don't forget you can get your first look at Behind the Kitchen Door Thursday's on Good Morning West Virginia. I'm Patrick McMurtry, see you then.
