Troopers say credit card skimmers found at gas station in Cabell County
SALT ROCK, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
West Virginia State Police said credit card skimmers were found at a gas station in Cabell County.
Troopers said they were discovered at the Exxon gas station on Route 10 and McComas Road in Salt Rock on March 11, according to a news release from State Police. Troopers said three of the four fuel pumps had skimmers installed in the early morning hours. The skimmers were discovered when a customer returned to the business after finding fraudulent purchases on their bank account.
The skimmers were removed, and employees are providing surveillance footage in attempt to identify a suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
