Traffic stop in Milton leads to drug bust
MILTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
A traffic stop led to a major drug bust Saturday in Milton.
Christopher Cox, 22, and his brother Colin Cox, 18, were arrested Saturday in Milton following a traffic stop, according to a news release from the Milton Police Department.
During the traffic stop on U.S. Route 60, officers could smell marijuana inside the vehicle. The release said after a K9 officer got a positive hit on the vehicle, officers found nearly a pound of marijuana, scales, a firearm and $2,400 cash in the vehicle.
Both were charged with possession with the intent to deliver.
Christopher Cox was also charged with being a prohibited person with a firearm and driving left of center.
Both brothers were released on $30,000 bond.
