Tractor-trailer wreck snarls westbound traffic on I-64 just past Dunbar exit

All lanes have reopened after a tractor-trailer wreck just past the Dunbar exit snarled traffic earlier in the day, Metro 911 said.

The wreck occurred about 7:20 a.m. Monday.

Metro 911 said there are now two lanes open on Interstate 64 westbound on the Dunbar-South Charleston bridge after a tractor-trailer crash.

Traffic is still moving slowly.

Only one lane of westbound traffic was open Monday morning prior to the Dunbar exit on Interstate 64 after a tractor-trailer wrecked and turned on its side, Metro 911 said.

Emergency crews said the lanes could be shut down for several hours.

The truck was hauling olives.

An emergency dispatcher said the wreck happened about 7:20 a.m. at the 53-mile marker.

The driver sustained a minor injury.

Dunbar police, the Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority and West Virginia State Police responded.
