Three elected to Kanawha County Board of Education

Ryan White, Becky Jordon and Tracy White won seats to the Kanawha County Board of Education as the top three vote-getters.

White, an incumbent on the board who was running in District 1, led the field with 23 percent of the vote.

Incumbent Becky Jordon, who was running in District 2, had 21 percent, while newcomer Tracy White, running in District 3, had about 18 percent.

Other candidates in the field and their vote totals were Monty Warner, 9 percent; Jo Stern, about 6 percent; Kevin Chestnut, about 5.8 percent; Rodney Robinson, 5.1 percent; and Joshua McGill, about 5 percent.

Current board members Jim Crawford and Ric Cavender were not up for re-election.
