Putnam Special Enforcement Unit warrant sweep nets five arrests, recovers stolen truck
TEAYS VALLEY, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Five people were arrested in a warrant sweep in Putnam County that focused on the Marina Park area of Teays Valley.
Members of the Special Enforcement Unit, D-Shift patrol units, along with the Narcotics Unit also assisted in the sweep that took place Friday afternoon.
Deputies say six warrants were served and a stolen truck was also recovered. The sweep was prompted by drug and theft complaints by neighbors, according to deputies with the Special Enforcement Unit.
Those arrested were:
-Keith B. Newsome of Teays Valley - Charge: Transferring and receiving a stolen vehicle warrant out of Kanawha County
-Travis M. Edmonds of Hurricane - Charge: Prohibited person in possession of a firearm
-Orville E. Cobb - Teays Valley - Charge: Possession of a controlled substance warrant out of Cabell County
-Patricia Anderson - Elkview - Charge: Truancy warrant out of Kanawha County
-Sabrina L. Morgan - Simon - Charge: Reckless driving warrant out of Kanawha County and suspended operators warrant out of Kanawha County
