Shots fired at vehicle during Charleston West Side robbery

Police are investigating an armed robbery on Charleston's West Side in which dispatchers said shots were fired at a vehicle.

Dispatchers said a man called 911 about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday and said he had been robbed at gunpoint near the GoMart on Washington Street West.

The man told dispatchers a man he didn't know jumped into his car and demanded items from the vehicle. He then fired four shots at the vehicle.

The man told police the robber took off in a blue Buick headed toward Dunbar.

Anyone with information on the robbery should call police.
