Police say man facing several charges in sexual abuse of child
HUNTINGTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
West Virginia State Police said a man is facing several charges in the sexual abuse of a child.
Joseph A. Cruickshank, 29, of Given was charged with 10 counts of sexual abuse and 10 counts of sexual abuse by a guardian, according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.
Troopers said they began an investigation on July 20 after the victim's mother reported the abuse. Troopers said they interviewed the juvenile victim who said the abuse began in June 2015 and continued until July 2017.
Cruickshank was arrested Monday and placed in the Western Regional Jail. Bond was set at $200,000 cash only.
