Police said remains found in Levy County, Fla., are believed to be those of a woman missing since last Monday.

The remains are believed to be those of Tricia Freeman, 47, of Palmetto, Fla., according to a news release from the Palmetto Police Department.

On Friday, Freeman's car was found in Ashland, Ky., nearly 1,000 miles away from Palmetto.

Two suspects in the case, Roy C. Nichols, 26, and his girlfriend, Kayla Colyer, 20, were arrested Saturday in Huntington. Ashland police said the two are facing homicide-related charges.

Police said Colyer is the daughter of Freeman.

Following the arrests, Colyer and Nichols were interviewed by Ashland police and Cabell County deputies. During the interviews, Kelly said Nichols confessed to killing Freeman in Florida and dumping her body before heading north, police said.

Police said Colyer told officers she did not kill Freeman, but did help Nichols.
