Mother's Day tea party held at Huntington's Heritage Farm
HUNTINGTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Heritage Farm in Huntington celebrated its first ever Mother’s Day celebration in style Saturday.
The farm held a tea party that included music, food and exhibits, along with crafts and of course, tea.
Renea Slayton, the event coordinator, said it’s a good way to bring families together and bring attention to everything Heritage Farm has to offer.
"I hope they take away a great experience here at the farm, they visit the museums and see what we have to offer and tell their friends and family about us,” Slayton said.
The event had a goal of 50 people attending and they actually had to turn away several people. Slayton said next year’s event will be even bigger and will allow more people.
