Huntington police cruiser leading funeral procession stuck by driver overdosing
HUNTINGTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
A Huntington police cruiser leading a funeral procession was stuck by a car Saturday afternoon.
Huntington police said the driver of the vehicle was overdosing on heroin when she crashed into the cruiser at about 3 p.m. Saturday a the intersection of Washington Avenue and Hal Greer Boulevard.
The driver of the vehicle was charged with DUI, one passenger was charged with permitting DUI and a third person in the vehicle was charged with using intoxicating substances.
The officer was not injured.
No other cars were involved.
