A fugitive who was sought on charges after he was accused of entering an apartment in Cross Lanes and taking a woman’s purse at gunpoint has been taken into custody.

Rickey Eugene Bourque, 28, of St. Albans was arrested Monday by Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies.

Bourque, who was profiled in January 2018 in Eyewitness News’ Fugitive Files, was wanted on armed robbery and wanton endangerment charges stemming from a Nov. 23, 2017 incident.

A criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court said Bourque struck a woman after entering her apartment in the 5300 block of Big Tyler Road. He also pointed a semiautomatic pistol at a woman who attempted to intervene, the complaint said.

Bourque is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
