Deputies release name of motorcyclist killed in Sissonville crash

Kanawha County deputies have released the name of a motorcyclist who died in a two-vehicle crash on Sissonville Drive.

Dallas Franklin Call Jr., 24, of Sissonville was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck that occurred about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 7900 block of Sissonville Drive, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said a car was traveling north in the southbound lane, and the motorcycle was traveling north in the northbound lane. Excessive speed may have been a factor for both vehicles. The motorcycle struck a utility pole.

No one in the car was transported to a hospital, but the occupants may have sustained injuries, deputies said.

The roadway was closed for several hours as deputies analyzed and collected the evidence. The cause of the crash is still undetermined.
