Deputies said Daniel Lyons, 25, of Chesapeake was shot once in the stomach by a small caliber handgun, according to a news release.

Deputies said Lyons got into an argument with Brian Potter, 49, of Chesapeake about 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Deputies said Lyons is dating Potter's daughter. Deputies said the two were arguing about a plumbing issue and Potter fired a handgun that struck Lyons in the abdomen.
