Charleston Seafood Week to feature more than 20 restaurants with seafood specials
CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
More than 20 Charleston area restaurants will be offering seafood specials this week as part of a public health education campaign.
Charleston Seafood Week kicks off Monday, Oct. 10, and runs through Sunday Oct. 16, according to a news release from organizers. The week is one of the highlights of the Charleston Seafood Nutrition Partnership Coalition’s public health education campaign in the city during National Seafood month in October.
The following 22 restaurants are participating: Adelphia Sports Bar & Grill; B&D Gastropub; Berry Hills Country Club; Blossom Dairy; Bluegrass Kitchen; Brick Salt + Kitchen; Bricks & Barrels; Bridge Road Bistro; BRB Café (at Columbia Gas); Celsius; Ichiban Pan-Asian Restaurant; Laury's Restaurant; Mi Cocina De Amor; Quarrier Diner; Sam's Uptown Café; South Hills Market & Café; Starlings Coffee & Provisions; Su-Tei; The Block Restaurant & Wine Cellar; Tidewater Grill; Timothy's Bar & Grill; and Tricky Fish.
Organizers said during National Seafood Month the coalition will partner with community and business leaders to host and participate in educational events to educate residents about the health and nutritional benefits of seafood and how eating it two times per week can help heart health.
