Live coverage of Charleston Christmas Parade planned on wchstv.com, WCHS-TV Facebook page

Eyewitness News will provide live coverage this weekend of a favorite holiday tradition - the 2017 Charleston Christmas Parade.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. downtown Saturday, Dec. 2, and can be viewed in the player below and on the WCHS-TV Facebook page.

The route starts on Capitol Street at Kanawha Boulevard. It will travel left at Washington Street, then left at Court Street, then left at Virginia Street, left at Clendenin then end at Kanawha Boulevard.

“Puppies and Presents” is theme this year. The theme was set by the Charleston Town Center.

WCHS-TV personalities will be in this year’s parade to greet the spectators who turn out to watch the many units expected to participate this year. Santa Claus will be at the end of the parade.
