Charleston artist finishes second in national portrait contest
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) —
A Charleston man came in second place in a national contest with a hand-painted portrait named “Dreaming of Peace."
Henry Riffe’s 16-inch by 20-inch oil painting finished second in the Portrait Society of America’s Non-Commissioned Portrait Category.
There were more than 400 entries in the category.
The painting is of Riffe's great-niece.
