G.Garvin has great recipes on Good Morning America. These Haricots Verts go especially well with G. Garvin's Sauteed Pork Medallions.

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add green beans and boil for 5 minutes. Remove beans from pot and place in a bowl of ice water. Drain well.
In a skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add garlic and shallot; saute for 5 minutes. Add the carrot and toss to combine. Stir in green beans and the bell pepper. Finish by stirring in butter until melted.
