The northbound lanes of Route 35 near the I-64 interchange in Teays Valley were shut down for several hours Wednesday morning due to a crash involving a wrong way driver, a Teays Valley fire captain said.

The fire captain said three tractor-trailers got tangled-up when they swerved to avoid the sport utility vehicle that was going the wrong way.

The fire captain said the driver of the SUV was treated at the scene, and a driver of one of the tractor-trailers was taken to the hospital.

Putnam County dispatch said the crash affected the traffic heading north on Route 35.

Carrie Jones, a spokeswoman for the Department of Transportation, said the lanes were closed about 3:15 a.m. and reopened about 6:30 a.m.
