The Putnam County Prosecutor's Office has filed a motion to revoke probation for a former Poca High School Principal Brad Knell arrested last week on a DUI charge.

After pleading guilty to the misdemeanor charge of obtaining goods by false pretense for the unauthorized use of a school credit card, Knell was placed on probation and given a two-year suspended jail sentence. He was originally charged with computer fraud.

On Aug. 31, Knell was charged with DUI, and now the Putnam County Prosecutor's Office has filed a motion to revoke Knell's probation.

A hearing on the motion in Putnam County Magistrate Court will be set. The magistrate will rule on the motion at the hearing and then decide whether or not Knell will be sent to jail for his guilty plea to the misdemeanor charge of obtaining goods by false pretense.

After resigning his job at Poca High School, Knell was rehired last week for a teaching position at Buffalo High School. The Putnam County school board is still deciding Knell's employment status with the school system following the DUI arrest.
