Childhood language center relocates, gets new name
CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
For more than 20 years, The Childhood Language Center in Charleston giving speech therapy lessons to children, at no cost to families.
It's now outgrown its Capitol Street Location and is moving to 1313 Quarrier Street.
Now called The Laurance Jones III Childhood Language Center, kids get speech therapy lessons as group or one-on-one.
The Childhood Language Center was founded in 1990 by the Scottish Rite of Charleston.
Over the last six years, the Center has served an average of 118 children yearly, with an average of 25 children consistently on the waiting list.
