Soul Slaw, Dangermuffin to perform Friday at Live on the Levee
CHARLESTON, WV (WCHS/WVAH) —
Moses Auto Group Live on the Levee returns Friday as a kickoff to the weekend and a way to help shake those workday blues.
Charleston-based Soul Slaw will be the opening act at 6:30 p.m. on the Schoenbaum Stage at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston. The band's biographical information says the seasoned musicians play "extended versions of songs from the Allmans to Zappa."
Meanwhile, Folly Beach, S.C.,-based headliner Dangermuffin, described as an Americana roots rock band, will perform at about 7:45 p.m.
WCHS-TV is the exclusive media partner of Live on the Levee that runs through Labor Day weekend with performances every Friday evening.
Live on the Levee supports five local charities with a strong emphasis on homelessness. This year's nonprofit partners are Roark Sullivan Lifeway Center, YWCA's Sojourners shelter, Covenant House, Samaritan Inn and Manna Meal.
