The Moses Auto Group Live on the Levee concert for Friday has been moved to Kanawha Boulevard because high water has covered much of Haddad Riverfront Park.

The concert will proceed as scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., but the move means the Boulevard will close at 11 a.m. Friday between Capitol and Court streets, according to a news release from the city of Charleston.

Because sections of Capitol Street will be closed later Friday in preparation for the weekend's Capitol Street Art Fair, eastbound drivers on Kanawha Boulevard may want to turn right onto Brooks Street and then left on Quarrier or Washington to get through downtown through the day and evening, the city said.

City officials are encouraging people to bring lawn chairs as seating on the Boulevard is limited. The Red Cross is scheduled to have a donation station at the event.
