Christian Lopez Band headlines Live on the Levee Friday

Folk rock group the Christian Lopez Band is the headliner for the next edition of Charleston's summer concert series down by the river.

The Martinsburg-based band takes the Schoenbaum Stage at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston at 7:45 p.m. Friday when Moses Auto Group Live on the Levee returns for more free music.

Indie-folk pop group The Sea The Sea, the opening act, gets things started about 6:30 p.m.

WCHS-TV is the exclusive media partner of Live on the Levee that runs through Labor Day weekend with performances every Friday evening.

Live on the Levee supports five local charities with a strong emphasis on homelessness. This year's nonprofit partners are Roark Sullivan Lifeway Center, YWCA's Sojourners shelter, Covenant House, Samaritan Inn and Manna Meal.
