Man faces DUI charges in fatal accident in Cabell County

West Virginia State Police said a man is facing charges in a deadly drunken driving accident that killed his father and injured a young woman.

Clinton Lee Walker, 35, of Huntington was charged with DUI causing death and DUI causing bodily injury, according to criminal complaints filed in Cabell County Magistrate Court.

The accident occurred Feb. 14 on Route 2 in Lesage. Troopers said Walker was driving the vehicle and his father and his father's granddaughter were passengers. Troopers said Walker was thrown from the vehicle and the two victims were trapped inside.

Clinton Joseph Walker, 58, of Huntington died and Ashley Acord, 19 of Lesage suffered injuries.

Clinton Lee Walker was arraigned on the charges Tuesday and taken to the Western Regional Jail where a cash only bond was set at $550,000.
