World News Tonight Saturday and World News Tonight Sunday Weekends at 6:30 p.m. on WCHS-TV8 
National and international news stories that break over the weekend are aired on the ABC News broadcasts, "World News Tonight Saturday" and "World News Tonight Sunday.""World News Tonight Saturday" premiered on January 5, 1985, and originates from ABC News in New York at 6:30 p.m., ET. Carole Simpson was named anchor of "World News Tonight Sunday" in early 1993. Ms. Simpson had previously anchored "World News Tonight Saturday" since June, 1988. "World News Tonight Sunday" premiered on January 28, 1979. Like the Saturday edition, the program originates from ABC News' World Headquarters with feeds at 6:00 and 6:30 p.m., ET. The broadcast has received numerous awards, including two Edward R. Murrow Awards. Paul Mason is the executive producer. Need to write?
