James Denton John Kilmer on Threat Matrix
James Denton's professional career began in Chicago theatre, where he was listed as one of the city's ten hottest actors by Screen Magazine. He played roles in stage productions of "A Streetcar Named Desire," "Burn This," "The Diviners" -- for which he received the Joseph Jefferson nomination for Best Actor -- and "Brecht's St. Joan of the Stockyards." He also appeared in the world premieres of "Flesh and Blood" at Bailiwick Repertory and "A Mother, a Daughter and a Gun" at Strawdog Theater Company. Denton was an artist-in-residence at Chicago's Griffin Theatre, appearing in several productions, including premieres of "Loving Little Egypt" and "McKay's Bees." In Los Angeles he appeared in the premieres of "Asylum" at the Court Theatre, "Locked Up Down Shorty's" at The Powerhouse Theatre and "In Walked Monk" at the Hudson Theatre.Denton's film credits include "That Old Feeling" and "Primary Colors" for Universal, and "Face/Off" for Paramount. He played series-regular roles on "The Pretender" for three seasons and, more recently, was Kim Delaney's love interest on Steven Bochco's "Philly." His guest appearances in television include "J.A.G.," "Sliders," "Dark Skies," "Moloney," "Two Guys and a Girl," "Ally McBeal" and "The West Wing."
