Sonia Satra Barbara Graham on One Life To Live Sonia Satra joined "One Life to Live" in February, 1998, portraying Barbara Graham, a nurse who has been through a tumultuous year, and whose romantic feelings for the engaged Kevin Buchanan may lead her into trouble. Satra was born in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Her mother is a history professor from Norway, who speaks fluently five different languages, and her father is an Austrian-born economics professor, with doctorates from universities in four countries. Consequently, much of Satra's early life was spent traveling abroad; by her 18th birthday she had been to France, Denmark, England, Spain and Egypt. Satra graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. While attending college, Satra began working in commercials and appeared in several ad campaigns. She eventually moved to California to pursue her acting career and appeared in various theater productions, including "Desperate Hours," "New," "Filthy Talk," "Senior Prom" and "Coffee." She also appeared in the Andrew Dice Clay feature film, "Sam and Ed." Daytime television audiences will remember Satra from her role as Lucy Cooper on "Guiding Light." Other television credits include "Dark Justice," "Brand New Life," "Trial By Jury," "Bonanza -- Legends of The Ponderosa" and "Bonanza -- Under Attack." When Satra isn't working, she enjoys skydiving, yoga, horseback riding, wind surfing, boxing and mountain climbing. PERSONAL INFORMATION BIRTHPLACE: Glen Ridge, NJ BIRTHDATE: Dec. 17 Need to write? |
