Jack Scalia
Chris Stamp on All My Children

Jack Scalia photo Daytime Emmy Award nominee Jack Scalia rose to stardom as an actor after an injury shattered his pro-baseball career as the No. 1 draft pick with the Montreal Expo's in 1971. He joined the cast of "All My Children" in June 2001 as Chris Stamp. Since Chris arrived in Pine Valley, he's tackled many undercover missions. One question remains: Will he be able to handle Erica Kane (Susan Lucci)?

Mr. Scalia has headlined a near record eleven television series. Among his most notable roles was the tough, determined New York cop, Michael Demarco, in Barbara Taylor Bradford's "Everything to Gain," opposite Sean Young.

In 1975 the Brooklyn native began modeling with Armani appearing in L'Uomo Vogue, later joining the Ford Modeling Agency signing on as the "Jordache Jeans Man." In January 1980, Scalia started acting with Robert X. Modie which lead to his first film role in "Star Maker" with Rock Hudson.

Mr. Scalia's film credits include "Charades," with Karen Black and James Russo, and the independent feature "Trail of Evidence." He also appeared in the TBS film "Silent Predators" which aired in July, 2000 and garnered some of the highest ratings for cable television that year. He portrayed a land-developing crazed villain opposite Ernest Borgnine in the feature film "Mel," and starred as a secret service agent in the 1996 sci-fi film "The Silencers." He recently returned from living in Rome, Italy, while filming a remake of the American TV series "Tequila and Bonetti." The series debuted in Europe with history-making ratings.

His telefilm credits include Jackie Collins' "Lady Boss," for which he was nominated for the prestigious Critics Award for best actor in a miniseries. He played the controversial role of Joey Buttafuco opposite Alyssa Milano in "Casualty of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story." He also starred in the Judith Krantz miniseries "I'll Take Manhattan," "Tall Dark and Deadly," "Torchsong," "With a Vengeance" and "Runaway Father." His television series credits include "Pointman," "Dallas," "Wolf" and "Remington Steele."

Mr. Scalia's other feature films include "Fear City," with Tom Berenger and Melanie Griffith, "Beyond Suspicion," with James Russo, "Shattered Image," with Bo Derek and "Amore."

No stranger to the stage, Mr. Scalia has starred as the lead in the Pulitzer nominated play, "Red River Rats," by Paul Gillette and directed by John Piepilow. His performace garnered rave reviews from The Hollywood Reporter and Variety.

Mr. Scalia is currently bi-coastal, living in New York and Los Angeles. He was an All American in High School, played three sports through college, and has participated in four triathlons and six marathons. He speaks fluent Italian and Spanish.
